Franck Ribery has said that France must not surrender to Spain in their World Cup qualifier like they did at Euro 2012.
The two nations go head to head on Tuesday, as Les Bleus sit top of Group I with two wins from two games.
They last faced each other in the quarter-final of the European Championships, where Spain triumphed 2-0.
Ribery said that France must play their natural game instead of being overawed by their opponents.
"I hear that we're going to get a pasting, but I hope it won't be the case. I don't want us to go there to play timidly like we did at the Euros," said Ribery.
"We should have played our natural game. There are things that need tweaking, but we must remember that we're the French national team."
Spain are also the reigning world champions.
