Two struggling Europa League-qualified sides Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt clashed on Sunday afternoon and played out a hotly-contested 1-1 draw.
Frankfurt created a number of early chances but Vaclav Kadlec's finishing was wayward, which meant that the two sides went in level.
The visitors eventually broke the deadlock through an own goal from Christian Gunter, but Freiburg levelled late on with a Nicolas Hofler header.
Read how the action unfolded below.
Hello all and thanks for joining me for the second game in our Bundesliga double-header. It's Freiburg against Frankfurt in eight minutes' time!
No time for anything further than the team news, so I'll bring that right across to you.
FREIBURG XI: Baumann; Sorg, Gunter, Krmas, Ginter; Schuster, Fernandes; Schmid, Coquelin, Mehmedi; Freis
FRANKFURT XI: Trapp; Jung, Zambrano, Bamba, Djakpa; Russ, Rode; Aigner, Barnetta, Inui; Kadlec
KICKOFF: We are underway then. Still no 0-0 draws in the Bundesliga so far, and here's hoping this won't be the first.
SAVE! Early chance for the away side there as Oliver Baumann makes a good save from Kadlec, who was through on goal and probably should have done better.
CHANCE: Really bright start here from the visitors and now Rode has a chance just outside the box, but strikes his effort wide.
Now the hosts come into it as Francis Coquelin does well to get a yard of space in the box, but he cannot turn Jonathan Schmid's cross from the right on target. Tough chance to get on target, but good movement from the Arsenal man.
SAVE: It has just settled down a bit in the last few minutes, but Frankfurt are just about seeing more of the ball. Another chance falls the way of Kadlec who was found by Aigner, but again Baumann saved.
Freiburg are yet to find their rhythm and should probably be losing already. However, they have managed to settle the game down after Frankfurt's strong chance. Rode goes down in a heap after a challenge from Krnas and it's a free kick - he went in studs up there and could well have been carded.
It's a little bit scrappy now, as Inui is the latest player to give away a free kick. Freiburg are passing it among the back but cannot work it into the Frankfurt box as yet. The visitors break and win a corner off Gunter.
OFF THE LINE: Not the most dangerous of headers from Kadlec from a corner, but Ginter still needed to make sure it did not go in. Frankfurt are still seeing all of the chances.
Kadlec is too eager to get on to Aigner's pass and fouls Krmas. At the other end Freiburg try to create something but Inui is tracking back well to win it and pass back to Trapp.
Good ball for Aigner there from Jung, who tries to get it back but has to settle for a throw. Freiburg are suddenly pressing with much more urgency, but still cannot get the ball for a meaningful length of time.
Gelson Fernandes does well to escape the attention of two markers and then finds Schmid to his right. Freiburg again cannot get the ball into the box and Freis is looking more and more isolated.
That's a bit better from the hosts. Schmid drives forward and finds Coquelin, who twists and turns but holds on to the ball. In the end a cross from the left is cleared, but is won back superbly by Fernandes - that has lifted the crowd.
Good ball from Freis who finds Mehmedi. He turns and plays Schmid in down the right before getting the ball back. He is unable to cross, however, and has to settle for a couple of throws near the corner. They're now on top, though, the hosts. Can they take advantage?
That said, Frankfurt's defence looks a lot more solid under pressure than Freiburg's did earlier in the game. A couple more good tackles excite the crowd, but commitment needs to be followed up by creativity in the final third.
Mehmedi is looking very lively and he wins the ball before looking for Freis down the right. It's a great tackle by Anderson, though, who stretches a long leg to put it behind for a corner, which then bobbles around in the box before finally being cleared.
Another corner - the 11th of the game so far - this time for the visitors. However it's straight into the arms of Baumann, a poor delivery.
Lovely back-heel from Inui to play Aigner in with a one-two. It's cleared behind and again the corner goes straight to Baumann. The final delivery has really been lacking since the early few chances for Frankfurt.
BLOCK: A shot comes in from some distance for the hosts following a corner. It came in from Gunter and might have even been blocked by Mehmedi as it arrowed towards the bottom corner.
Rode penalised for a foul on Coquelin and this is a very dangerous spot on the corner of the box. What can Schmid do here?
His first effort goes straight at Trapp, but the referee had blown his whistle for a tussle in the box.
HALF TIME: Freiburg 0-0 Frankfurt
So we're half way towards the first 0-0 draw of the Bundesliga season. Frankfurt created a good few chances early in the half, but they could not convert - Kadlec in particular was wasteful. The hosts must improve as they have barely tested Trapp.
There could well be some substitutions at the break. It has been the final ball that has been lacking - the high number of corners that have come from tackles and blocks at the back is evidence of this. Five corners for the hosts and eight for Frankfurt already.
Really, outside the opening 10 minutes there has been nothing shown from either side to say that they deserve a goal. The most likely player for the hosts has been Mehmedi, who has played well, while Aigner has been lively for the visitors.
KICKOFF: No changes from either side then, and we're back underway.
BOOKING: First card of the game goes to Djakpa, who was just too slow with his tackle and brought down Schmid. He was too quick. Dangerous position for a free kick here.
Not a great start to the half in terms of the football on display. Freiburg have probably seen more of the ball and have come out motivated, but both defences are still well on top of their respective strikers.
FRANKFURT SUB: Rode is struggling out there after taking a knock and he might have to come off here. Indeed he does, as Johannes Flum comes on for him - the ex-Freiburg player is getting a hot reception from the home fans.
Frankfurt are now happy to sit deep and look to break. Djakpa comes away with the ball but it's then intercepted by Fernandes. They cannot get out of their own half at the moment, the visitors.
CHANCE! That was Freiburg's best play of the game. Some good movement and passing sees Freis with a chance to shoot from the edge of the box. He might have passed right to Schmid, but went for goal and put his effort narrowly wide.
SAVE: It has been a good response from Freiburg to their appalling first half. They are much more comfortable with the ball and suddenly threatening at the other end. More good passing sees Schmid find Freis to the right of the box, but Trapp turns it wide.
FRANKFURT SUB: Aigner makes way for Srdjan Lakic. The winger had a good first 45 but has done nothing in the second and that's a good change.
GOAL! Freiburg 0-1 Frankfurt (Gunter o.g.)
It was going to take a moment of brilliance or a moment of comedy at the back. Unfortunately for Freiburg it's the latter. Djakpa crosses low from the left and Baumann, for some reason, sticks a boot out at it and puts it straight into Gunter who cannot react quick enough. It then bobbles into the net. It's harsh on Gunter - that's entirely Baumann's fault.
CLOSE: It's almost a second for Frankfurt. Inui does brilliantly to dummy and get in down the left. His cross-shot is deflected and then nearly turned into his own net by Baumann. Just a corner, though.
I thought that the goal might have seen this game open up a bit, but if anything Freiburg have retreated further. Coquelin tries his best to get in down the left but a combination of two players in black win the ball from him.
CHANCE! What a chance for Fernandes! He's burst into the box to meet Coquelin's outside-of-the-boot cross, but he's blocked at the last second and the ball falls safe to Trapp.
FREIBURG SUB: That was Fernandes's last action, as Nicolas Hofler comes on for him.
SAVE! Trapp makes the save but it should be 1-1. Hofler is immediately played in down the left but drills his shot right at Trapp. Schmid then gets in the box again and goes down but is booked for diving. Awful dive!
FREIBURG SUB: Felix Klaus comes on for Christian Gunter.
Freiburg are finally showing some attacking intent, but it might end up being too late. Hofler has been a real handful in his few minutes.
BOOKING: Krmas almost makes a big mistake with a poor piece of control, but he's alert enough to hold off Kadlec and let Baumann gather. Flum is then booked for catching Schuster.
CHANCE! Frankfurt are looking for the goal that would confirm their points, but Kadlec's shot from just outside the box is blocked as he showed far too much of it to Krmas. Russ then goes all the way himself before panicking with his finish and putting it over. That was a real chance!
GOAL! Freiburg 1-1 Frankfurt (Nicolas Hofler)
I thought Hofler looked the most likely player to get his team back in this and he has just nodded in a corner at the far post. There was no-one on the line, and had there been it would still be 1-0. Frankfurt probably should have this wrapped up but instead they find themselves level.
CLOSE! Frankfurt are almost back in front again! Lakic meets a deep cross at the far post, but can only find Baumann who keeps it out. It's then hacked off the line as Freiburg ride their luck once more. Celozzi is on for Kadlec for the visitors.
RED CARD! Flum's eyes light up outside the box as he shoots low, but he's sent off just a few seconds later. It's his second yellow and it was fair enough. In the aftermath Russ is booked for his reaction.
Likewise Schuster gets carded. We're now into time added on as Freiburg swing in a late free kick, which is nodded just wide by Krmas.
BOOKING: It's a scrappy end to this one with another bit of handbags. Hofler is booked for a late tackle.
FULL TIME: Freiburg 1-1 Frankfurt
The point won't help either side there, but at least we carry on without a goalless draw so far this season. Thanks for joining me for this one and we'll be back with more from the German top flight after the international break. Goodbye.
