Frosinone have claimed their first ever win in Serie A, beating Empoli 2-0 in their meeting at the Stadio Matusa.
Following a dour goalless first half, the hosts went on to open the scoring just before the hour when Federico Dionisi forced a great save from Lukasz Skorupski before firing the rebound into the roof of the net.
Frosinone then doubled their lead in the 71st minute through Danilo Soddimo, who capitalised on a fatal defensive mistake at the back to pick up the ball before slotting home.
Any hopes that Empoli harboured of getting back into the game were thwarted just six minutes later when Riccardo Saponara was sent off for insulting the referee, leaving the home side to see the contest out and clinch all three points.
The result sees Frosinone leapfrog Empoli to rise to 16th in the Serie A table.
