Kieran Richardson has admitted that he needs to improve following his debut for Fulham in last weekend's 3-0 defeat at West Ham United.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Cottagers from Sunderland on deadline day, was taken off a after an hour of the defeat at Upton Park.
"I was upset with the way the game went. I didn't feel sharp at all, I felt sluggish," he said.
"I hadn't really trained with the team so I didn't know the way they played that well but I've got a break now before the next game and I'll get my fitness up and understand more on how the team play."
Fulham continue their Premier League campaign at home to West Bromwich Albion on September 15.
