Harry Wilson, Rodrigo Muniz and Adama Traore scored the goals as Fulham recorded a 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in Saturday's Premier League contest at Craven Cottage.

Marco Silva's side proved to be far too strong for the Seagulls on the afternoon, with the result making it three wins for Fulham from their last four league matches.

The hosts sit 12th in the table, now on 35 points from their 27 league matches this season, while Brighton are ninth, five points behind sixth-placed Manchester United.

The first half-chance of the match came for Fulham in the 10th minute, but Harrison Reed's strike from the edge of the box was kept out by Brighton goalkeeper Luke Steele.

Andreas Pereira was next to try his luck in the 13th minute, but the attacker's powerful strike was blocked, with Brighton being forced to defend their own box in the early stages of the contest at Craven Cottage.

Fulham made the breakthrough in the 21st minute of the contest through Wilson, with the attacker working his way into the Brighton box before expertly curling the ball into the far corner of the net.

The home side then doubled their advantage in the 32nd minute through Muniz, with the forward heading a brilliant delivery from Wilson into the back of the net from close range.

Julio Enciso attempted to respond for Brighton in the 35th minute, but his volley from the edge of the box was over the crossbar, and it proved to be a very difficult opening half of action for the visitors.

Evan Ferguson also had a half-chance for the away side in the closing stages of the first period, but his effort from outside the box sailed wide of the post, with Fulham leading by two goals at the interval.

The first opening of the second period came for Fulham in the 54th minute, but Pereira, who had impressively worked his way into the Brighton box, could only fire his attempt wide of the post.

Ferguson was dangerous for Brighton, and the striker just missed the target with an effort in the 59th minute after smart work from Adam Lallana.

Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno was then called into action just past the hour to keep out an effort from Ferguson, who was carrying the fight for the Seagulls in the second period.

Carlos Baleba was next to have an opportunity for Brighton, but he headed over the crossbar in the 75th minute, with Fulham riding their luck during stages of the second 45 minutes.

Facundo Buonanotte also came close for the visitors in the 79th minute, with his effort from the edge of the box hitting the post.

Fulham added gloss to the scoreline in second-half stoppage time, though, with Traore finding the back of the net with a composed finish after being released by Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

The home side will be bidding to make it three league wins in a row when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers next Saturday, while Brighton are in Europa League action on Thursday, heading to Italy for the first leg of their last-16 contest with Roma, before returning to league duties at home to Nottingham Forest next Sunday. body check tags ::
