New Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini has described facing Juventus in his first game in charge as "a happy coincidence."
Mancini took charge of his first training session as Gala boss last night after agreeing to replace Fatih Terim as coach of the Turkish champions following a poor start to the season.
Ahead of the trip to Turin for the Champions League clash with the Old Lady, Mancini has declared that Galatasaray represent a unique challenge, while insisting that he is delighted to be back in management so quickly.
He told Il Corriere dello Sport: "It is a happy coincidence to meet the Bianconeri first and it is a great challenge to prepare for this game in just one day.
"I am happy with the choice I made, as the atmosphere is different here in Istanbul. It's a wonderful and intriguing challenge for me at a big club. I am convinced this was the right choice."
The Turkish giants are still reeling from the disappointment of their opening fixture in this season's Champions League - a 6-1 home defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
