Galatasarsy and Schalke 04 have played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 encounter in Turkey.
The home side took the lead with 13 minutes played in an entertaining first half when Burak Yilmaz flicked the ball cleverly past Joel Matip before firing past Timo Hildebrand.
Yilmaz nearly had a second midway through the half, but his shot rattled the crossbar following Hildebrand's save from Didier Drogba.
Schalke equalised in the 44th minute as Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Jefferson Farfan combined to allow Jermaine Jones to tap in.
A quieter second half came to life with 15 minutes left to play as Huntelaar hit a volley over the crossbar before Yilmaz dragged his effort wide.
Hildebrand was then called into action in the 78th minute when he tipped Sabri's shot wide of the post.
