Leaders Juventus have gone into the halfway stage of their Serie A clash away to Genoa this evening still locked at 0-0.
The hosts were the first to threaten in a scrappy first half when Giuseppe Sculli picked up a loose ball in the Juventus half, only to send a disappointing long-range effort well wide.
The visitors struggled to get into their usual rhythm for much of the half, and their frustrations were summed up in the 37th minute when Pablo Osvaldo's first-time strike from the edge of the box went high over the bar.
The first clear chance of the half went to the hosts shortly before the break as Andrea Bertolacci latched on to a lofted pass forward, but he couldn't keep his header from close range down.
Juve came close to breaking the deadlock in the 41st minute when Paul Pogba picked up the ball on the edge of the box, but his subsequent shot flew just past the post.
Neither side could find the opener, however, as the two teams went into the break all square.
