This afternoon's Serie A match between Genoa and Siena has been suspended due to fan protests within the stadium.
Members of the Genoa crowd threw flares onto the pitch and climbed atop barriers as they were faced by stewards in riot gear.
The home faithful were frustrated as they watched their relegation-threatened side fall 4-0 behind in the early stages of the second half.
A brace from Siena's Franco Brienza along with goals from Luigi Giorgi and Mattia Destro meant that the visitors were cruising to victory when play was suspended.
The game later continued with Siena running out 4-1 winners.
