Gent have come from a goal down to hold Lyon to a 1-1 draw in the first half of their Champions League clash this evening.
Lyon made a bright start to the game and they took the lead in the seventh minute when Jordan Ferri slotted in at the near post after being played through by Rachid Ghezzal.
Kenny Saief soon had a header tipped over by the keeper as the visitors threatened, before Alexandre Lacazette came close with a low strike that was turned behind.
In the 32nd minute the visitors managed to draw level as Danijel Milicevic curled a free kick into the corner that left goalkeeper Anthony Lopes helpless.
Mathieu Valbuena almost came up with a quick response, but his effort missed the target, before Brecht Dejaegere forced Lopes into a save from his header as the first half ended all square.
