Germany coach Joachim Low has claimed that his side were fully deserving of their 6-1 win over the Republic of Ireland on Friday night.
Die Mannschaft were in control from the first whistle in Dublin as they continued their winning record in World Cup qualification.
"The team was focused from the beginning – that was noticeable throughout the whole week in training," Low told reporters.
"When he had the ball, we played it forward quickly and found the right balance. We deserved to win by this margin. the opponents were unimaginative, playing long balls forward without any real pressure."
Germany continue their campaign on Tuesday when they host second-placed Sweden in Berlin.
