Getafe have confirmed their place in the next round of the Copa del Rey with a 2-1 victory over Eibar.
After suffering a 3-0 defeat in the first leg, Eibar were aware that they required a fast start at Ipurua, and Javier Lara wasted little time in registering a shot on target.
However, despite being second best for the opening quarter, Getafe all but sealed their progression from the tie when edging ahead after 23 minutes through Carlos Vigaray, who made ground inside the penalty area before firing across goal and into the bottom corner.
Eleven minutes later, the visitors doubled their advantage through Diego Castro who, after receiving the ball from Alvaro Vasquez, curled it into the far corner for his first goal of the season.
Eibar coach Gaizka Garitano made three alterations at the break and 10 minutes into the second period, his tinkering paid off when Federico Piovaccari netted from the penalty spot after a foul from Emiliano Velazquez.
The goal, albeit a consolation effort, woke Getafe up and former Real Madrid winger Pedro Leon went close on three occasions as the visitors looked to re-open their five-goal lead on aggregate.
Sammir and Lara also attempted to register a third for Getafe but they were eventually content to play out the final stages as they comfortably secured their place in the next stage.
