Struggling Feyenoord have thrashed Groningen 4-0 in this afternoon's Eredivisie clash at De Kuip to climb to 10th in the table.
The home side took the lead in the 24th minute after Lex Immers set up Colin Kazim-Richards, who drove a hard diagonal ball into the corner of the goal to open the scoring.
Groningen made things harder for themselves when Johan Kappelhof received a second yellow card in the 56th minute for a foul on Elvis Manu.
It did not take long for Feyenoord to make their man advantage count, doubling their lead just two minutes later when Karim El Ahmadi's looping cross was headed home by Immers.
Jean-Paul Boetius then put the result beyond doubt with a thumping header past Sergio Padt with five minutes to go.
Immers then further contributed to his side's cause when he set up Mitchell te Vrede, who struck a fourth goal in injury time.
Groningen now sit ninth in the Eredivisie table.
