Guingamp and Lille were forced to settle for a point each after battling out a 1-1 draw in Ligue 1 this evening.
Lille arguably had the better of the early chances and they should have gone ahead through Djibril Sidibe, but he was left frustrated after his effort from the centre of the box came back off a post.
The visitors continued to press, however, and they were soon rewarded with a lead when Sofiane Boufal tucked into the bottom-left corner following Mounir Obbadi's cross on the half-hour mark.
The lead was not to last too long, though, given that Guingamp responded just six minutes later thanks to Jimmy Briand, who collected from Yannis Salibur to fire past Vincent Enyeama and equalise.
Neither side were able to create much going forward in the second half, although Junior Tallo was denied by the Guingamp stopper from a tight angle as the game approached the closing stages.
Both sides appeared keen to settle for a point each, but that did not stop the hosts' Julien Cardy having a go from range in injury time, only for the shot to fly high and wide to leave things level at the final whistle.
