Hannover have come out on top in the mid-table Bundesliga encounter with Nuremberg at the AWD-Arena this evening.
Tomas Peckhart saw an early header saved for the visitors but it was Hannover who took the lead just after the 20-minute mark when Lars Stindl tucked home from inside the area.
Szabolcs Huszti made it two before the interval by converting from a tight angle after the home side broke away quickly.
Didier Ya Konan struck twice in 11 second-half minutes to put the game out of reach, with both goals coming courtesy of the rapid Hannover counter-attack that was tearing open the exposed Nuremberg back line.
The hosts couldn't keep a clean sheet, however, as Nuremburg right-back Timothy Chandler fizzed home a low shot with 17 minutes remaining.
Three points for Die Roten see them rise to third in the table, five adrift of early leaders Bayern Munich.
