Ronnie Moore has revealed that he intends to use Hartlepool United's League Cup clash against Bournemouth to experiment with his squad.
The League Two side have been rewarded with a visit from the Premier League new boys after seeing off Fleetwood Town in the first round.
Moore has confirmed that 20-year-old striker Rhys Oates will be among those to feature from the off at Victoria Park, having so far come off the bench in all five of Pools' opening fixtures this season.
"I might just have a look at one or two things in the cup," he is quoted as saying by the Sunderland Echo. "I'd like to look at Rhys from the start, see what he's like. He's been coming on around the hour mark but he'll play against Bournemouth."
Hartlepool lost 2-0 at Stevenage on the weekend in what was their first defeat of the campaign.
