Heerenveen are set to host PSV Eindhoven on Sunday, with Johnny Jansen's men hoping to get back to winning ways, after failing to pick up wins in their previous three Eredivisie matches.
PSV, meanwhile, will be in high spirits after their 1-0 win over Granada in midweek, with the visitors securing their spot in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Match preview
Heerenveen have started the 2020-21 season well, managing five wins in their opening 10 matches, as well as registering three draws.
However, their form has started to dip recently, with the hosts securing their last win back on November 1 - a comfortable 4-1 triumph against Sparta Rotterdam.
Their latest league result saw a disappointing 1-1 draw against ADO Den Haag, featuring an equaliser from Joey Veerman in the early moments of the game.
Despite Heerenveen dominating throughout the 90 minutes, they were unable to find a winner in the match, earning just their second point in their previous three games.
PSV, on the other hand, have endured a superb start to their campaign, with the side claiming seven wins in their first 10 games as they sit third in the table.
In fact, Roger Schmidt's men have only lost once this season, when they went up against Vitesse in October, after the home side were able to gain a narrow 2-1 victory over their opponents.
Their most recent league result ended in a 1-0 win at home to Sparta, with Donyell Malen scoring the only goal of the game.
They have also been performing well in Europe, having qualified for the round of 32 in the Europa League after beating Granada 1-0 on matchday five of the competition.
Heerenveen and PSV's previous meeting was back in November last year, where the Eindhoven club secured a 2-1 win.
In fact, Heerenveen have failed to win against PSV since September 2017, when they gained a 2-0 victory.
