Heerenveen dispatched Vitesse 4-1 at home in the Eredivisie tonight to stretch their unbeaten run to five games.
The home side took the lead in just the fourth minute as Sam Larsson waltzed through the defence to set up Luciano Slagveer, who slotted the ball into the net.
Their strong start got even better in the 10th minute when Mark Uth latched onto the end of Joey van der Berg's through ball and coolly finished past the keeper.
Larsson was at the heart of the third goal shortly before half time, as his corner was converted by Daley Sinkgraven, before Slagveer complete his brace early in the second-half by turning home another Larsson cross.
Vitesse scored a consolation through Guram Kashia, who headed in a free-kick in the 77th minute.
The win lifts the home side to seventh in the table, while Vitesse remain 12th.
