Hertha Berlin head coach Pal Dardai has revealed his frustration after being told that he will be without Anis Ben-Hatira this weekend due to an injury the midfielder picked up on international duty.
Dardai was keen for the Tunisian not to travel to China as he was already carrying a knock, and the Hertha boss admits that he was furious to learn that one of his key men now faces up to a month on the sidelines after aggravating the injury.
"I don't want to see Anis again this week and I've told our medical department as much," Dardai told Bild. "Maybe that makes me a bad person, but I am not going to see or talk to him until after the Paderborn game.
"I pleaded with him not to go but to stay in Berlin and work with our sports scientists."
Hertha will look to move further clear of the relegation zone when they host SC Paderborn on Sunday.
