HNK Rijeka and Lyon have played out a 1-1 draw in their Europa League match this evening.
Rijeka missed a great chance to take an early lead as Leon Benko met Zoran Kvrzic's cross, but put his effort wide.
They were made to regret their miss as Lyon took the lead. Alassane Plea was left with a simple finish from close range after the home side failed to clear a corner.
Andrej Kramaric soon equalised for the home side, when he picked the ball up 35 yards out from goal, before turning and rifling a strike into the top corner, leaving Mathieu Gorgelin with no chance.
Lyon wasted a big opportunity to retake the lead moments into the second half when Jimmy Briand picked out Yoann Gourcuff in the middle, but he fired over the bar.
The two combined again minutes later when Gourcuff picked out Briand, but this time he struck his effort straight at the keeper.
In the final minute of the match Gourcuff's free kick into the box was flicked on by Briand, but Ivan Vargic made a vital save to earn his side a point.
