Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Championship clash between Huddersfield Town and Bournemouth, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Bournemouth will be looking to keep hold of their place in the playoff positions when they travel to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday evening.

The Cherries moved into sixth with a fourth win in a row on Saturday, while Huddersfield played out a stalemate with Rotherham United to slightly enhance their survival hopes.

Match preview

Arnaut Danjuma's first-half double, including a strike inside the opening 23 seconds, set Bournemouth on their way to a routine 4-1 win over Coventry at the Vitality Stadium.

It completed a first double over Coventry since their old Third Division South days in the 1952-53 season, but more importantly it moved the Cherries up to sixth in the table.

Should they make it five wins in a row for the first time since December 2014, Jonathan Woodgate's side will climb into fifth and hold a five-point lead on seventh-placed Reading.

The South Coast side have hit form at the perfect time, scoring 12 goals and conceding only two across their ongoing winning streak.

Huddersfield's form could not be more contrasting, having only picked up one win from their last nine league games, failing to score in each of their last two.

A goalless draw with Rotherham was not the worst result for the Terriers, though, given that it followed on the back of a humiliating 7-0 loss at leaders Norwich City.

Town have now drawn three of their last four and are eight points clear of the bottom three, though that could become just two points if Rotherham win their games in hand.

The seven-goal loss at Carrow Road was not Huddersfield's first heavy defeat of the campaign as they also went down 5-0 to Bournemouth in December's reverse fixture.

In fact, Bournemouth have won eight of their last 11 league games against Huddersfield and are seeking consecutive away league win against them for the first time since 1990.

Team News

Carlos Corberan made five changes to Huddersfield's starting lineup between the heavy loss to Norwich and draw with Rotherham.

Goalkeeper Ryan Schofield returned from illness and Pipa was back involved after a recent minor injury.

Both players will likely retain their place in the side on Tuesday, but Corberan may make changes elsewhere, with Danny Ward and Isaac Mbenza among those pushing for recalls.

As for Bournemouth, Woodgate will be delighted with the performance of his attacking players in the win over Coventry, even if Dominic Solanke failed to find the net.

The Cherries have plenty of options should they wish to freshen things up, but momentum is key and Woodgate will want more of the same from his side.

Jack Stacey has had to settle for a place among the subs of late, but the versatile right-back is one of those who could be brought into the XI here.

Huddersfield Town possible starting lineup:
Schofield; Edmonds-Green, Keogh, Sarr; Holmes, Bacuna, Hogg, O'Brien, Pipa; Sanogo, Campbell

Bournemouth possible starting lineup:
Begovic; Smith, Carter-Vickers, Cook, Kelly; Wilshere, Lerma; Brooks, Billing, Danjuma; Solanke

We say: Huddersfield Town 0-3 Bournemouth

Huddersfield have drawn five of their last seven games, but they were thrashed 7-0 by Norwich during that run and lost heavily to Bournemouth in the reverse fixture.

Given the Cherries' form heading into this game, we can see the visitors claiming an emphatic win that moves them up to fifth in the table.
