Blackpool have a 1-0 lead over Huddersfield Town at half time thanks to a goal from Ricardo Fuller.
Thomas Ince and Stephen Dobbie both saw efforts blocked in the opening 20 minutes, as the visitors dominated possession but struggled to create chances.
Paul Ince's men took the lead in the 27th minute, when Kirk Broadfoot sent the ball through to Fuller, who rounded Huddersfield keeper Alex Smithies before tapping in from close range.
Dobbie continued to stretch the home side's back four as Blackpool looked to add a second before the break.
James Vaughan thought that he had equalised in the final minute before the break, but the in-form striker was just offside.
