Sports Mole previews the Championship match between Huddersfield Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers at John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield Town will be hopeful of continuing their surge up the Championship table when they face off against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.

The Terriers have had an inconsistent spell of form since the turn of the year as they have won three and lost three of their six matches in 2015 in all competitions.

The three victories in the Championship have helped lift the club into the security of mid-table, where they are 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

Chris Powell's men showed great resilience to defeat Millwall in their clash at The Den on Saturday, despite being reduced to 10 men after Nakhi Wells was sent off early in the second half.

One of the major problems keeping Huddersfield from breaking into the top half of the table is their inability to maintain clean sheets, as they have shut out the opposition just once in their last 11 games in the Championship.

Only Blackpool and Fulham have conceded more goals than the Terriers this season, and Powell will be determined to put that right over the course of the next 17 games to ensure his side end the campaign on a high note.

The 45-year-old will be without Wells for the clash at John Smith's Stadium due to his suspension, which could pave the way for new signing Ishmael Miller to make his full debut for the club.

Defender Tommy Smith could also come into contention after returning to training after suffering a head injury against Leeds United two weeks ago.

Huddersfield have won their last six matches against Wolves, including their 3-1 victory over Kenny Jackett's men at Molineux earlier this season.

Wolves' season has also been inconsistent as after winning five games on the spin over the festive and New Year period, Jackett's team have failed to record a victory in their last three matches.

Wanderers lost 2-1 to Reading on Saturday at Molineux as they missed the chance to close the gap on Watford in the race for the playoffs, leaving them five points off the pace in eighth place.

Wolves had a great deal of success this season when they have managed to keep a clean sheet, as nine of their 12 wins have come when they have shut down their opposition. To highlight their inconsistency, they have also conceded three goals or more on six occasions during the campaign.

Tomasz Kuszczak is likely to continue in goal for the injured Carl Ikeme for the clash against the Terriers, while Jack Price and Nouha Dicko could return to the fold after being left out of the defeat to Reading along with Dominic Iorfa.
