The Football Association has charged Hull City striker Abel Hernandez with violent conduct.
The 24-year-old appeared to punch Manchester United defender Phil Jones in the stomach as the pair tangled in the box during Sunday's goalless draw at the KC Stadium.
The incident was not seen by match officials on the day, but a panel of three former elite referees has unanimously voted that the Uruguayan's action was a red-card offence.
Hernandez has until 6pm tomorrow to reply to the charge.
Hull signed Hernandez on a four-year contract for around £10m last summer, but he only scored four league goals in 25 appearances as the Tigers were relegated from the top flight.
