Tom Huddlestone has claimed that the "clever" play of Jamie Vardy contributed to his sending-off in Hull City's 0-0 draw with Leicester City this afternoon.
The midfielder saw red for the second time this season midway through the second half at the King Power Stadium, but the Tigers clung on to secure a point.
His second yellow card was for an alleged trip on Vardy and, while apologising for his "rubbish" dismissal, Huddlestone has insinuated that the Foxes striker went to ground too easily.
He tweeted: "2 rubbish yellows today. Vardy was clever. Apologies to everyone involved. We should win games like that though."
Hull are three points above the Premier League relegation zone, and nine ahead of bottom-of-the-table Leicester, after Saturday's fixtures.
