Hull City owner Assem Allam has told fans that he will not change the name of the club before he has fully consulted the supporters.
The club's supporters' campaign group City Till We Die met up with the businessman last week to express their opposition to the Premier League outfit's proposal to change the name to Hull City Tigers.
During the discussion, Allam told the fans: "I give my word, I will not change if no benefit."
While the supporters' group have claimed that they understand the importance of bringing more money into the club, they fear that a name change would compromise the outfit's heritage.
Allam announced the rebrand in August.
