Yannick Sagbo and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have been given more time to respond to FA charges of improper conduct.
The Hull City striker and the Queens Park Rangers left-back are alleged to have made posts on social media relating to the controversial 'quenelle' gesture.
The duo were originally set a deadline of April 8 to respond to the charges, but this has now been extended.
Devised by French comedian Dieudonne M'bala M'bala, the 'quenelle' is an anti-establishment hand gesture that has also come to be associated with anti-semitism.
Nicolas Anelka was sacked by West Bromwich Albion for making the gesture during a Premier League match in December.
