Hull City were unable to capitalise on taking the lead as Barnsley held the Premier League team to a 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly.
After a goalless first half with few chances for either team, it was Hull who came out after the break the stronger and took the lead after Shane Long pounced onto a Lewin Nyatanga backpass to make it 1-0.
Hull failed to hold onto their advantage as Barnsley responded 10 minutes later. Conor Hourihane equalised for the Yorkshire outfit as a goalkeeping error from Eldin Jakupovic allowed them back into the game.
Both teams failed to take any of their chances for the last half-hour of the contest, resulting in a draw in the match at Oakwell.
