Hull City have climbed to third in the Championship table courtesy of a deserved win over Huddersfield Town at the KC Stadium.
Robert Koren broke the deadlock on eight minutes, firing home from 10 yards after latching onto a pinpoint cross from Stephen Quinn.
David Meyler then sealed the win with a low drive from 12 yards deep in second-half stoppage time.
The Tigers were good value for the three points and could have won by a wider margin, but Terriers keeper Alex Smithies pulled off a string of fine saves to deny Koren, Corry Evans, Jay Simpson and Robbie Brady.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield, who were well below par, failed to record a single shot on target.
Hull have now won three consecutive Championship games for the third time this season, while Huddersfield are winless in six matches.
Tigers defender Alex Bruce was shown a red card by referee Howard Webb after the final whistle, following a clash with Alan Lee.
