Hull City put six goals past Fulham to secure a comfortable home win at the KC Stadium.

Hull City have thrashed Fulham 6-0 at the KC Stadium with all of the goals coming in a superb second-half performance.

The opening stages went by without much in the way of goalmouth action for either side, but David Stockdale was required to gather when Jake Livermore sent in a cross to Yannick Sagbo.

The first-half chance of match fell to the visitors as Pajtim Kasami worked the ball to John Arne Riise, but the defender's shot was saved by Allan McGregor.

Tom Huddlestone had a low effort saved by Stockdale, although it was Fulham who had control of possession in the middle of the park in the opening 15 minutes.

However, the Tigers were inches away from taking the lead when Huddlestone curled a free kick against the foot of the post. Moments later George Boyd had an effort palmed away by Stockdale.

The chances continued to fall for Hull, with Sagbo seeing his shot blocked by Aaron Hughes, before Ahmed Elmohamady forced Stockdale to save again.

Huddlestone then fired harmlessly wide as the first half reached its conclusion.

Hull had a great chance to take the lead moments after the start of the second half, but Stockdale saved Elmohamady's effort and then did even better to keep out Robert Koren.

However, the deadlock was broken just minutes later. Elmohamady found space inside the Fulham box and fired his shot into the top corner.

The home side doubled their lead with an hour played. Sagbo sent in a low cross and Koren was able to beat a Fulham defender to the ball to turn it home.

The away side's afternoon then went from bad to worse as Hull stormed into a 3-0 advantage. Boyd found some space on the edge of the box before placing the ball into the bottom corner.

By this point, the Cottagers were in damage limitation mode, but that failed as well when Huddlestone drove home Hull's fourth of the afternoon just four minutes after the third.

A disastrous afternoon for Fulham was completed with Matty Fryatt's close range strike after the forward had reacted first to Huddlestone's free kick that smashed against the crossbar, and then Koren's second of the afternoon, which made it 6-0.
