Hull City manager Steve Bruce has claimed that his side are trying to sign new players in wake of a series of injuries to crucial squad members.
The Tigers currently have eight first-team players injured, including Abel Hernandez and Nikica Jelavic, while James Chester suffered a dislocated shoulder in his side's 3-0 defeat away at West Ham United on Sunday.
Bruce told BBC Sport: "[Chester] will need an operation. Alex Bruce has pulled a thigh, he'll be touch and go for two weeks' time. It's all hands to the pump at the moment.
"We're trying to improve the squad and if there's somebody out there within the budget, we will try our best. Let's hope that can give everybody a lift if we do get one through the door."
Hull currently sit second from bottom in the Premier League table.
