Hull City have reportedly upped their offer to sign Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire as they attempt to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers to his signature.
The Premier League side are said to have switched focus to the 21-year-old after reports claimed that Joleon Lescott has snubbed the KC Stadium for talks with West Bromwich Albion.
According to the Express & Star, Hull are prepared to offer £1.5m plus £500,000 in add-ons to sign the defender, but the League One club are likely to reject the offer due to concerns over the extra payments as they are appearance-related.
Wolves are said to have had at least two bids for Maguire rejected.
