Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini has backed his side to still make qualification for the Champions League come the end of the season.
Milan have found it tough going in the first half of the Serie A campaign, with Mancini's charges currently occupying 11th position in the table with just 20 points from 15 games.
"There's still a long way to go in Serie A and I think we'll be in the mix for third place," said the Inter coach, according to Goal.com
"But we mustn't look at the table for now; just keep on putting points on the board. All the sides above us are battling for third place. We need to put together a run of good results and a win [against Lazio] would be a boost for our self-esteem.
"The lads are looking good, too. We just have to make sure we keep improving. It's always better after a win. We've lost two games so far, so I can't be happy. But I'm pleased with the atmosphere around the team."
Inter face a crucial clash away at Lazio on Sunday.
