Michele Pazienza cancelled out Mauro Icardi's early strike as Bologna held Inter Milan to a 1-1 half-time draw at the San Siro in Serie A tonight.
The Argentine needed just six minutes to fire the Nerazzurri ahead by converting a teasing cross from Yuto Nagatomo with a crisp half-volley.
Walter Mazzarri's men would have doubled their advantage if not for the intervention of opposition goalkeeper Gianluca Curci, who produced a finger-tip save to deny Ricardo Alvarez on 20 minutes.
The visitors then went close through Cesare Natali, who forced Inter shot-stopper Samir Handanovic into a smart save just two minutes later.
However, Bologna saw their resilience rewarded after Pazienza fired beyond the Slovenian keeper from the edge of the area to draw level with 10 minutes remaining in the half.
