Inter Milan have recovered from a sluggish start to head into the half-time interval level at 1-1 with Hellas Verona.
An impressive start from Verona was rewarded in the 10th minute when a deep cross into the box was met by a cushioned header from Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, allowing Luca Toni to volley his side into the lead from close range.
However, the lead lasted just 10 minutes as Inter hit back through Mauro Icardi, who met the perfect knockdown from Rodrigo Palacio with an emphatic finish.
Inter quickly improved after getting back on level terms, and Zdravko Kuzmanovic came inches away from handing the hosts the lead with a low strike which rebounded off the post.
Nemanja Vidic then threatened to put Inter ahead in trademark fashion when he met a corner with a powerful header, but Verona goalkeeper Rafael reacted impressively to push the ball away.
