Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni has claimed that his team performed perfectly against Hadjuk Split.
A dominant 3-0 win for Inter in the first leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie all but secured their place in the final playoff round of the continental tournament.
Stamaccioni was delighted that his team put in such an efficient, disciplined performance.
The 36-year-old said: "Look at the fans here and that is after losing 3-0, imagine what it would have been like if we had lost 3-0. Hajduk might have been fitter than us but I think Inter played the perfect game tonight.
"We are keeping our heads down. It is a good result but what I liked was the fact that we never stopped trying to play football and we gave very little away."
Goals from Wesley Sneijder, Yuto Nagatomo and Philippe Coutinho gave Inter victory in their first official match of the season, making light work of a potentially tricky trip to Croatia.
