Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni has admitted that he believes money rules above all else in modern football.
The 36-year-old is about to embark on his first full season as Inter boss but has faced a turbulent summer with a host of changes in personnel.
Big-name players such as Lucio and Diego Forlan have left the club while star player Wesley Sneijder has been linked with a transfer.
Stamaccioni said: "From a technical point of view, I consider Sneijder irreplaceable, but we are at a particular time in football where money rules.
"Whether we sell is up to Massimo Moratti, but we have players arriving and a clear idea of how we want to play."
Inter have added a host of players including Rodrigo Palacio and goalkeeper Samir Handanovic to their ranks as they try to rebuild for the new campaign.
