Inter Milan defender Jonathan has claimed that his side deserved to beat Roma in their Serie A match on Saturday evening.
The Nerazzurri stretched their unbeaten run to four matches after a goalless draw at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, but Jonathan believes that they created enough opportunities to claim all three points.
"We deserved something better than this draw. We really did very well in the first half and had some chances to score," he told the club's official website.
"The coach told us at various moments we were playing a great match and we'd have to score as soon as possible. It's a pity we didn't pull it off. Now we have to try right away to get ready for the next game in the best way we can.
"We'll work hard this week to show up on the pitch in the next match in even better shape. Our opponents also did well tonight. We also need to improve our final ball to help out our forwards."
Inter are next in action when they host Torino in Serie A on March 9.
