Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is considering playing Gary Medel in defensive midfield for his side's game against Juventus, according to reports.
Medel has played much of this season in central defence, but Gazzetta World claim that Mancini is looking at the option of playing the Chile international in the position he occupied during his Premier League stint at Cardiff City three seasons ago.
"I love Medel as a player," the former Manchester City manager told reporters. "If we all had as much heart as he does then we would win every match. Ideally I would like to have 24 players like Medel and Messi."
Should Medel be moved into midfield, it is suggested that either Geoffrey Kondogbia or Fredy Guarin would have to be moved out of position or onto the Inter bench.
Mancini's side are currently second in Serie A, and take on a struggling Juventus side on Sunday.
