Inter Milan head coach Roberto Mancini has claimed that Lukas Podolski's contribution is not acceptable following Sunday's 1-0 loss to Fiorentina.
Podolski produced a below-par performance as Inter dropped seven points behind Fiorentina in the race for European qualification, and Mancini admitted that he was disappointed with the German.
The Inter boss told reporters: "Podolski must give more, so it is not enough and he is the first to know that.
"We were generous, we know they are a good team and it was in my opinion a very balanced game. Had we found the equaliser immediately, maybe we could try to bring home a victory.
"The problem was that at first we were hesitant. Fiorentina are a team that dribbles well. In the first half we had to be bolder, more determined."
Podolski, who was taken off midway through the second half at the San Siro, has not scored in any of his eight Serie A games since joining Inter on loan from Arsenal in January.
