Roberto Mancini has said that his Inter Milan team needs to continue to improve if they are to compete for the Serie A title.
Inter are currently level on points with Fiorentina at the top of the Italian top flight, and while Mancini admits that his side have achieved more than expected so far this season, they must continue to improve.
"The teams at the top right now are fighting for something important, but the order may change again," he told reporters. "We need a full stadium (on Sunday) to get that extra boost that can help against Frosinone.
"We have to convince ourselves first and improve on the weaknesses that we have. If we succeed with that, we can play on par with all the other teams. I think we have done more than we expected, but we must do better because we have to score more goals. The team is solid and the players are all doing their part, but still we must improve."
Despite challenging at the top of the table, Inter have scored more than two goals in a league game just once this season, but Mancini believes winning the title with narrow wins is possible.
"Teams can win the title even with just 1-0 wins in their favour. Look at Atletico Madrid a few years ago, they won thanks to that strength. I think it's very important to have solidity and then you can try to score more goals."
Mancini's comments come shortly after Fiorentina attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic claimed that Inter are not good enough to win Serie A this season.
