Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has said that he is hoping that Diego Forlan will remain at the club next season.
Forlan, who struggled for much of his first season in Serie A, scored a total of two goals for the Milan club. However, Milito admits that he also found it difficult to make the transition from La Liga to the Italian league.
"I don't know whether he will, but I hope that he's not leaving the club because he's a real champion," Milito told Corriere dello Sport.
"It has been an unfortunate season for him, a lot of physical problems. Something similar happened to me the year before. It's not easy to come here from the Spanish league."
Forlan arrived Inter from Atletico Madrid last summer.
