Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri was delighted with his side after they ended their winless streak with a 2-0 victory at Chievo Verona.
Late goals from Walter Samuel and Diego Milito earned the Nerazzuri their first Serie A win in eight matches.
Ranieri now hopes that his side can build some momentum and overturn a 1-0 deficit in their Champions League last-16 tie against Marseille on Tuesday.
"This result will surely boost our morale, it is a lifeline, and I am sure that San Siro will be full for the match against Olympique de Marseille," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"Our next goal is to reach the quarter-finals in the Champions League. We know how much this is important for us, the club and the fans.
"I have to thank the players for tonight's performance. They finally played like Inter."
The result has lifted Ranieri's side up to sixth in the Serie A table.
