Inter Milan have climbed two places to third in the Serie A table following a comfortable 2-0 win over Pescara at the San Siro.
The hosts, who went into the game on the back of two winless outings, settled their supporters' nerves on the half-hour mark when Rodrigo Palacio broke the deadlock with his ninth goal of the season.
Palacio latched onto Antonio Cassano's pass before firing low into the bottom right corner from 18 yards.
Inter doubled their lead nine minutes into the second half when Palacio sent Fredy Guarin through on goal and the Colombian midfielder finished clinically.
The margin of victory should have been greater, but Palacio, Guarin and Marco Benassi all spurned good chances.
