Mauro Icardi is reportedly close to signing a new long-term contract with Inter Milan.
The 23-year-old was strongly linked with a move away from San Siro in the summer transfer window, with Arsenal and Napoli both reportedly failing in attempts to sign the Argentina international.
However, Inter managed to hold off the interest in their centre-forward and earlier this month, Icardi revealed that he was in talks with the Italian giants over a new deal.
According to Sky Italia, Icardi is 'on the verge' of extending his contract with Inter and the deal will include a release clause in the region of £86m.
The Argentine has scored four times in five appearances for Inter this season and 56 in 110 matches since arriving at the club in the summer of 2013.
