Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni believes that Maicon is the best right-back in the world, but remains coy on his future.
The Brazilian defender has been linked with a move away from San Siro this summer following his omission from Inter's squad for their Europa League qualifier against Vaslui.
"In my opinion, Maicon is the best in the world but obviously there are different evaluations to be made, as there is more than just fondness or monetary value," said Stramaccioni.
"All of Inter cares about the Brazilian, as he is a fantastic lad. We'll have to see what happens. "This Inter side does need to be completed, that is beyond doubt. Something will certainly come in before August 31, in fact I'd say before August 26."
Maicon joined Inter from French club Monaco in 2006.
