Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Ross County at home and move above them in the Scottish Premier League.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Ross County 2-1 at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium and as a result move above them in the Scottish Premier League.

The home side got off to the perfect start when Andrew Shinnie found the net inside the opening five minutes, converting from close range.

Ross County got themselves level in the 33rd minute when Paul Lawson fired the ball into the net after being teed up by Iain Vigurs.

After the break, Inverness regained the lead when Scott Boyd fouled Charlie Taylor in the area and Billy McKay made no mistake in firing the ball into the net.

The visitors tried to push to get back into the game but couldn't find that elusive equaliser as Inverness moved above them to third in the table.
