Southampton striker Pablo Osvaldo looks likely to lead the line for his country tonight as Italy prepare for a World Cup qualifier in Denmark.
Cesare Prandelli's side have already qualified for next summer's finals in Brazil, thanks to a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic last month.
The Azzurri have called up a full strength squad for the Danish trip, but Prandelli is reportedly not prepared to risk Mario Balotelli from the start as he continues to suffer from a niggling injury.
With Giuseppe Rossi and Lorenzo Insigne also not fully fit Osvaldo, will be handed a rare opportunity to start in attack for his country, according to reports in the Italian media.
Osvaldo has scored three times for Italy in nine appearances, with all of those strikes coming in the current World Cup qualifying campaign.
