Juventus recorded a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in Turin to secure the advantage at the halfway stage of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Marco Reus cancelled out Carlos Tevez's opener to score a crucial away goal for Dortmund, but Alvaro Morata's close-range finish just before half time handed Juventus the win.

JUVENTUS

Goal

Gianluigi Buffon: Couldn't get close to a fine finish from Reus, but made a couple of decent stops to keep his side ahead later on. (6/10)

Defence

Stephan Lichtsteiner: A no-thrills performance from the Swiss defender. Forced Reus to look elsewhere for space with some uncompromising defending. (6/10)

Leonardo Bonucci: The star performer in an efficient Juventus defence. Made a number of vital clearances under pressure and marked Immobile out of the game. (8/10)

Giorgio Chiellini: Recovered well after his slip allowed Reus to equalise. Missed two decent chances to head his side further ahead in the second half. (6/10)

Patrice Evra: Prevented from getting forward as much as he would have liked, but produced a solid performance to frustrate Aubameyang on the wing. (7/10)

Midfield

Andrea Pirlo: Started a lot of his side's early attacks before being forced off with an injury late in the first half. (6/10)

Arturo Vidal: Drifted in and out of the game, and struggled to make an impact in the final third when his side did get forward. Defended well on his return to the midfield. (6/10)

Claudio Marchisio: Refused to waste possession in midfield, and caught Dortmund out with some defence-splitting passes. Filled the void left by Pirlo impressively. (8/10)

Paul Pogba: Forced to do a lot of defending early in the game, but the Frenchman was always a threat when he did get forward from midfield. Provided the perfect cross for Morata to slot home the winner. (7/10)

Attack

Carlos Tevez: Capitalised on a goalkeeping mistake to tap in the opener, and he regularly threatened the Dortmund defence with his direct running from deeper positions. At the heart of most attacks for his side, and came close to scoring a third in the second half. (8/10)

Alvaro Morata: Picked to lead the line alongside Tevez, and he justified his manager's decision by producing a tireless display in attack. Took his goal well, helped set up the opener, and refused to let Dortmund's defence relax for a moment. (7/10)

Substitutes

Roberto Pereyra: Struggled to get involved after replacing the injured Pirlo, but improved as the game progressed. Missed a great chance to score his side's third when he dragged wide from a good position. (5/10)

Simone Padoin: Slotted into the midfield in the closing stages to add some energy as Dortmund finished well. (5/10)

Kingsley Coman: Barely had a kick of the ball after coming on for Tevez with only a few minutes remaining. (4/10)

BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Goal

Roman Weidenfeller: At fault for the first goal when he pushed the ball straight to a waiting Tevez, and he looked nervy collecting crosses for the rest of the night. (4/10)

Defence

Lukasz Piszczek: Started the game well before being forced off with an ankle injury he picked up just after the half-hour mark. (5/10)

Sokratis Papastathopoulos: Locked in a physical battle with Morata throughout the first half, and he struggled to handle the striker's movement before being taken off at half time. (5/10)

Mats Hummels: A mixed bag from the World Cup winner. Made a couple of key interceptions to stop Juventus attacks, but was often sloppy in possession. Troubled by the impressive Tevez. (6/10)

Marcel Schmelzer: Solid at the back for the visitors, but disappointing at the other end of the pitch as he frustrated teammates with his poor crosses. (6/10)

Midfield

Ilkay Gundogan: Produced an excellent display in the middle of the park to rise to the occasion against the home side's diamond. Dictated tempo from a deeper position, but offered a good option for his side going forward, too. (8/10)

Nuri Sahin: One of the midfielder's better displays since returning to Dortmund. Forced to curb his attacking instincts for much of the game, but stuck to his task well to help out the visiting defence. (7/10)

Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Unable to find the space he needs to have an impact, and spent too much time on the fringes of the game on another frustrating night for the Armenian. (5/10)

Marco Reus: Finished impressively to score a crucial away goal for his side, and usually involved whenever the visitors attacked, despite being marked closely by the Juventus defence. (7/10)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Thrived as the central striker in recent weeks, but struggled to replicate the same form out wide against an impressive Evra. (5/10)

Attack

Ciro Immobile: A surprising starter up front, and the Italian found it difficult to make an impact against his first club. Twice went close with long-range efforts, but anonymous for long spells. (5/10)

Substitutes

Matthias Ginter: Replaced Piszczek at right-back, before moving into the centre after the break to produce a decent performance under pressure from the hosts. (6/10)

Oliver Kirch: Disappointing after coming on at the start of the second half. Often given the space to get forward from defence, but wasted too many chances to deliver crosses into the danger zone. (4/10)
