A penalty shortly before half time has left Juventus level at 1-1 with Inter Milan in their Serie A clash at the San Siro this evening.
The home side opened the scoring less than 10 minutes into the tie when Marcelo Brozovic floated the ball into the box, allowing Mauro Icardi to deflect it in off his chest.
The visitors started to dominate possession as they pushed to get back on level terms, and almost found the back of the net when Alvaro Morata burst forward before striking the ball low, but Samir Handanovic made the diving save.
Rodrigo Palacio could have doubled Inter's advantage just a couple of minutes later when he latched onto a loose ball down the other end, but Marco Storari reacted quickly to palm it clear.
Inter continued to threaten as half time approached, with Xherdan Shaqiri hitting the crossbar with a curling effort from the edge of the box, while Brozovic had the ball in the back of the net on the rebound, only for it to be ruled out offside.
The champions reacted quickly, winning a penalty when Nemanja Vidic brought down Alessandro Matri in the box, allowing Claudio Marchisio to fire in from the spot just before the interval.
